Come and take a walk with me!
Have you ever thought of having therapy while taking a walk ?
Walking Therapy combines traditional Counselling and Psychotherapy with the physical exercise of walking outside in a natural outdoor setting.
You will receive the benefit from talking therapy, while at the same time receiving the benefits of physical exercise—a powerful two-in-one treatment.
Putting one foot in front of the other..
There’s a rhythm and flow as we think, talk and walk. It’s a great alternative to my office based sessions and I believe there’s a place for both in our work together. Taking therapy outside into nature can be very beneficial because it releases endorphins, serotonin and oxytocin, while strengthening your connection between your mind and your body.
There’s an opportunity to channel your feelings as you walk and be more openly expressive with body language. New perspectives and clarity can emerge as we walk together side by side.
Walking therapy can help to:
- Improve mood
- Increase energy
- Reduce tension and anxiety
- Cope with stress
- Improve sleep
- Increase feelings of well-being
- Improve self-image
Where shall we walk?
Walking Therapy sessions are conducted outdoors while walking around a location that’s convenient for both of us and at a time that fits in with both our schedules. Our first session will take place in my office and from then on outside. You can contact me using the form above or call 07581201309.
