Therapy in Manchester and Wilmslow
You can change your life for the better with therapy! However I appreciate it can be a daunting prospect to find a therapist who is right for you.
When I see clients I use a compassionate and non-judgmental approach and you can book your first appointment with no obligation to see if you’d like to work with me.
My therapeutic approach uses Transactional Analysis (TA). TA is a wonderful way of being curious about how people relate to each other. Using TA together, we can not only get to understand how you are feeling and behaving but also explore the reasons why!
I am also an ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) practitioner. ACT is an active form of therapy; It takes its name from one of its core messages; accept what is out of your personal control and commit to taking action that enriches your life. So it’s about us working as a team. You will have strategies to take action to move towards the life that you want to live and become the person that you want to be.
What to expect from therapy
I offer a patient, friendly, open approach so that a positive therapeutic relationship can flourish. You can make progress as you develop insight and awareness and begin to work through your challenges.
At our first consultation I will invite you to talk about what brings you to therapy and we can then work at a pace that suits you, tailored to your needs in a safe, confidential, comfortable environment. Each Session lasts for 50 minutes and if you choose decide to work with me we will usually contract to work together for four or six weeks as a starting point.
