Wherever you look whether it’s online, on the TV, in magazines and books there’s a lot of nutrition advice out there! So where do you turn? Who can you trust?
What I can offer you is straight forward advice always backed up by scientific evidence. I have a Masters Degree in Nutrition and Health from Manchester Metropolitan University and this combined with my skills as a therapist uniquely qualifies me to support you with your nutrition and health goals. As well as my private practice, I have worked as a Health and Wellbeing Advisor for the Healthier You National Diabetes Prevention Programme.
Together we can step back and look at the bigger picture.
Understanding Your Eating
Why do you eat what you eat? To understand your eating you need to understand yourself. I’m a licensed practitioner of the Understanding Your Eating Programme developed by Professor Julia Buckroyd, Honorary Fellow of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. This wonderful programme is based on current research to help you to think about how you use food now, and provides you with tools so that you can choose to do things differently. If you’d like to work with me using this programme you can contact me here.
Chronic Health Conditions and Disease Prevention
My approach will help you to manage chronic health conditions such as allergies, digestive disorders and hormonal imbalances. I can make recommendations about food and healthy eating to help prevent or alleviate medical conditions such as diabetes or heart disease.
Gluten Free, Vegetarian or Vegan?
Getting your nutrition right when you are a coeliac or living gluten free can be tricky. I have worked with coeliac patients within the NHS and can support you to ensure that you are getting everything that your body needs to be healthy. A vegetarian or vegan diet can be a really great diet when you know what to eat to stay healthy. I can help you make some simple tweaks and changes to your daily diet so that you can feel your very best.
