Therapy can be life changing but it can also be a daunting prospect to find a therapist who is right for you. When I see clients I use a compassionate and non-judgmental approach. I don’t presume to eliminate or resolve your issues, however, as we work together I see my role as a therapist is to be there ‘alongside’ you as you discover your own solutions.
My therapeutic approach combines Person-Centred Counselling with Transactional Analysis (TA) . TA is a wonderful way of being curious about how people relate to each other. Using TA together, we can not only get to understand how you are feeling and behaving but also explore the reasons why!
What to expect from therapy
I offer a patient, friendly, open approach so that a positive therapeutic relationship can flourish. You can make progress as you develop insight and awareness and begin to work through your challenges. At our first consultation I will invite you to talk about what brings you to therapy and we can then work at a pace that suits you, tailored to your needs in a safe, confidential, comfortable environment. Sessions last 50 minutes and we will contract to work together for four or six weeks as a starting point.
